Happy 3 Year Anniversary!

On the 29th of April, my wonderful husband, Eric, and I celebrated our 3rd year of marriage.
He made me breakfast in bed: eggs, bacon, hash browns, orange juice, coffee, along with a long stem red rose.
Later on at work, he brought me a dozen gorgeous red roses.
That night, he filled me in on the surprise weekend getaway that he planned.
We are going to Washington DC for the weekend and he booked us a hotel and made dinner reservations at a surprise location :)
I have the sweetest husband ever!

...this is what Eric called me when I returned from my fabulous trip to Paris.
Paris is the most beautiful place in the Spring!

Egg Hunt

If there is one thing I miss on Easter, it is the family egg hunt! My parents would get up so early on Easter morning and my Dad would tactfully hide the eggs all over the house. My Mom always had a beautiful Easter basket full of goodies on the kitchen table for us.
As we hunted, my dad would say "you're getting warmer" when we were nearer to the hidden eggs, or "you're ice cold!" if we weren't even close. The eggs would be full of candy and money.
I did this every year with my sisters until I moved to Virginia.
I thought about trying it with Eric, but I don't think it would be quite as fun since one of us would have to hide the eggs, and only one of us could hunt for them- ha ha
I'm looking forward to doing the same thing with my kids one day!

Happy Easter!

I'd like to send a personal 'thank you' to Divvies for making a yummy dairy- free chocolate easter bunny!

It was quite delicious :)

Girly Girl

I looooove pink and I love Juicy!

Pretty in Pink

I might have used this as my bridesmaids dress if I was to do it all over again...prima ballerina meets rocker chic- so pink, so girly, and so Betsey! Not sure if my bridesmaids would have loved it, but ya know... ;)
Too bad this wasn't around 3 years ago!

My saving grace for those long days at work...

ooh la la...I think I need this for Paris!

For NitaNit
For NitaNit by * Cris * featuring Lanvin necklaces

Bring the heat

It's definitely time for the warm weather to stick around and for my soon-to-be manicured toes to be exposed to the world!
I made a trip to Ulta today to get my first 'summer color' polish from OPI's new line- South Beach.
I went with the 'Congo-line Coral', it seems to be different enough from my 'Los Cabos Coral', and my "Shootout at the O.K. Coral" ;)
The array of beautiful colors plus the clever fun names= I love OPI! It makes me happy!

when in Paris...do as the Parisians do

I will be breaking the 'no sugar' rule while in Paris- this is guaranteed!

J'adore Paris!

In 12 days, I will be on a plane heading to Paris!
The Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Dinner Cruise on the Seine, Palace of Versailles... j'aime la vie!

In the beginning

Pictures, words, songs, ideas- all things that inspire my creativity and bring joy to my heart- these are the things I want to share with you.
If you know me, you know that I love glitz and glamour! But, I also love simplicity and find beauty and joy in the small things.
I love when I see a picture, or hear a song or quote, and I have to look at it, or listen to it, over and over- something about it just captures my attention- this is what I define as "second glance glamour".
Some things are so stunning or so unique that you need to snatch another peek to take it all in.

Places I've been, places I dream of going, pictures I can't take my eyes off of, songs lyrics that make me sing along, the latest fashion trend to catch my eye, beautiful colors perfect for a new season, accessories that make me covet, a movie I can't wait to see...this is the second glance glamour I plan to share with you.
